Well, we sure have had plenty or rain here lately!!! My last album is from a memorial day weekend camping trip.
Last few weeks have been pretty rough on me at the social agency so I packed up my camping gear and headed out to the wilderness for three days (state forest, primitive camping spot used by the hunters mostly). It did a world of good to me, although there was an extra-tropical storm system passing through and my tent and sleeping bag got totally flooded. But I didn’t care, it gave me something to do anyways! Never saw a soul except for a forest ranger once. Made him wonder some, a woman alone in the woods with an axe! HA : )) Had some good times, hiking around the lakes there, stargazing (awesome stars-no city lights within a 50 mi. radius), campfires etc. Totally cool experience! Praise God for times of refreshment!
I received this dream on 5-27-09 after being in travail and
somewhat confused in my spirit… (I woke up, repenting and praying,
and then fell back asleep and had this dream).
A wedding is to take place, the marriage ceremony to be performed by a
judge. I’m a guest. The groom has an eye patch, he’s a middle-aged,
balding man. The bride is a thin young lady, wearing a rust-colored
mini-dress, modern and fancy, with lace. I’m observing the preparations
(and place an eye-patch over an eye of a figure or a doll, representing
the groom). The young lady is beautiful, but her dress too short. I
say to her, “you better not bend over wearing that dress” and then she
bends over, exposing her underwear. There’s much hassle, preparing for
Finally, we are in the (court room?) where the wedding is to take
place. Lots of people, waiting. An old-fashioned “jester” hops in,
entertaining the crowds before the ceremony. He points at people’s
feet- I look at mine and try to hide them in embarrassment, my
stockings are broken at both heels and my heels are sticking through,
My attention shifts over to wedding guests. In the front is seated an
ex-wife of the groom, middle-aged and plump. She has a title “saint”
and several children adoring her, embracing her. She watches the new
bride walk in and tries not to express disapproval.
The bride is not ready, and as I look at her dress I wonder what
happened, she looks rather plain, her dress old and dirty. I feel as if
we/they took too long to prepare and missed a part of the wedding. I go
to the restroom, look in the mirror and take the scarf off my head.
The following interpretation was given by Terri Barron in OH forum;
I found it prophetically significant and decided to share it here on my blog. Hope that’s ‘ok’ with Terri.
Genesis 25:26 After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob.
Jacob Means (Hebrew):
Supplanter; held by the heel
Jacob was thusly named because he grabbed his twin’s heel as they
were both being born. Even though Esau was the first born, Jacob
received the firstborn blessing and thus supplanted Esau. He also took
Esau’s birthright with a bowl of stew, again supplanting him.
In your dream your heels were exposed. Possibly meaning that you
are supplanting this false bride. [Note: This does not mean that we
(the Church) are replacing God’s chosen people, the Jews, since we are
grafted in to the root.]
It probably means that you are a true believer and are supplanting
the false church. I put the former in for the false church who
believes that they have replaced the root so that I might educate them
to the truth. We do not replace Israel but are grafted in to them and
they support us. Without their root we do not have salvation. A
branch cannot live on its own without a root base. Here, God tells us
that we can just as easily be broken off and a natural branch (Israel)
grafted back in should we boast of our salvation and not accept the
root. Here is where God is telling us that if we turn our backs on
Israel, he will cut us off.
The true church is Israel with grafted in Gentile believers. There
is a remnant of Israel. It is the Messianic Believers. They are the
root, Gentiles are the branches. One day, all of Israel (non-believers
in Jesus) will see the Savior and will be saved.
The skinny bride does represent the false church of the world. Her
dress is worldly and immodest. She is materialistic. But she exposes
her falseness to true believers. Her groom has an eyepatch because he
is semi-blinded to the falseness of the church. The way this false
church operates is that it is seemingly built on scripture but it
twists scripture to appeal to worldly people.
God came to bring us out of Egypt. Egypt is representative of the
world system. Your dream is saying that the church is a world church
that has rejected the first bride (the true bride) for it’s own version
of what the bride should be. Unfortunately, the bride is false and the
system is taking people back into Egypt, away from God.
My personal interpretation;
The dream that followed my repenting showed the progress of willful sin. The bride in rust or ‘sin’-colored dress signifies temptation, first appearing fancy and desirable but turning into a stained, filthy rag in the process. One would rather act modest and not admit to being tempted, but it will become apparent/the bending over part. The husband signifies carnal mind/intelligence that allows the temptation to be conceived into an act of willful sin. Placing an eye-patch over the eye signifies choice of turning a blind eye to sin. An unholy alliance/marriage then takes place. The saint with children signifies Holy Spirit and His gifts, being grieved in observing this. The court jester points out the wounded conscience of one who committed the sin, the devil’s bruising and then mocking at the exposed heels. Sinner would rather hide the sin than have it exposed. Observing own face in the mirror and removing head covering might signify not being under grace covering temporarily and coming into the realization about it, or it could have a more personal meaning of putting ‘old things’ behind and moving on. I have previously dreamed about head coverings, and it is still a custom in our Old Apostolic Lutheran faith.
Thank You LORD JESUS for Your correcting and renewing mercy…

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been
approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised
to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am
tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself
tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own
desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Do not be
deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift
is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom
there is no variation or shadow of turning. Of His own will He brought
us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits
of His creatures. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift
to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not
produce the righteousness of God. Therefore lay aside all filthiness
and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted
word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and
not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of
the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in
a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets
what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of
liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer
of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. If anyone among
you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives
his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. Pure and undefiled
religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows
in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
1 John 1; 5-10
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to
you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say
that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do
not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the
light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no
sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we
make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
